Beautiful Ragged Mountain
This is all that came out of Rod's Family-there was more counting the extended family. Even though the drive was long, it turned out to be really relaxing and everyone really enjoyed themselves.
We stayed in this cute little cabin. The first night we got there at 3 in the morning and it was freezing cold. So it was like basically sleeping outside and when we woke up it was snowing! It didn't stick but it was still freezing. But then it warmed up and ended up being really nice.
Right next to our cabin there was a little pond that the kids loved to go and throw their fishing poles in . I thought this was so cute with Rod and the boys!
Don, Kyla, and Trisha showing their fish lips.
I thought this was so funny. There was so many swampy areas when we went fishing all the kids shoes got soaking wet. Rod hung them all up to dry.

I had too much fun with this truck!!
I had too much fun with this truck!!

The kids all got sick of me asking, "Do you want to go take some pictures?" They all went on strike so I didn't get a couple of other spots I wanted, oh well.
All David could talk about is when he was going to go fishing. Over and over and over! Finally, Rod took him real fishing and he was so excited when he caught a fish. It was so cute to watch him and the other kids get into the fishing.David's cousin Carter caught 5 fish. He was so proud! He had to win everyone mostly the girls, he said, "I can't let the girls beat me."

Don was cutting the fish and showing David and Rusty all the eggs and stuff inside. Then he asked Rod if he wanted to have a turn. By the look of his face will tell you how much Rod enjoyed that. It surprised me that he did because he has such a weak stomach. I know that he did it for David and Zach though- to learn how to do it so he can fish with the boys by himself. Another reason why he is such an amazing dad.

Rod's 29th Birthday!!
We had a little party for Rod's Birthday. We had family come over and I made his favorite carrot cake. I always love getting together with Rod's family. Especially because I don't live by my family. Rod's family has always welcomed me into their family and made me feel like a million bucks. I love them all so much.
Rod's mom saved the day and helped me finish getting ready for the party. She is such a sweetheart.
All the kids love to get into Grandpa Broadhead's truck. Maybe because Grandpa is always playing with them and they love it.
I am the luckiest girl to be married to Rod. He truly treats me like a queen. He is always thinking about me and the boys in every single decision he makes. I love that he is a family man. That is one reason why I married him. He truly puts his family first. He is the best dad. It is so fun to see him spend quality time with the boys. He loves to read to them, wrestle, and everything else under the sun. He loves them so much and is always working with them and teaching them new things.
Rod is an amazing school teacher! I hear left and right people commenting on how amazing he is and that he is their favorite teacher. He is always trying to think of new fun ways to teach Social Studies so the kids really get involved and learn.
He has such a strong testimony of the gospel. His heart is gold and anyone that knows him, knows that he would drop anything to help. I love you Rod, I hope you had a great birthday!!

Tornado
Okay, Rod said it wasn't a tornado but it looked like one!! I looked out the window and the whole sky was red and the wind was blowing like crazy and my swing, yes that is my swing covered in those tumble weeds, was blown 2 houses down. It was pretty cool to watch because it only lasted a couple minutes and then the wind wasn't strong anymore. Now there are a million little pricklys all over our front yard and they kill when you step on them. My nice neighbor brought the swing back, don't ask me how she didn't get poked like crazy!! Anyway, our poor swing did go back together, but the prickleys will be there for a while!

David's Diego Birthday Party

David turned four years old on April 9, 2008. I can't believe he is already 4!! He loves Diego so we decided to do a little Diego party for him.

I tried (tried is the key word) teaching them red rover and Rachel ran full speed and plowed Trisha to the ground. It was hilarious other than it hurt Trisha's feelings. That ended the game and we quickly moved onto cake and ice cream.

I thought this was so cute- Zach is helping Grandpa Broadhead carry the scooter over for one of David's presents. Grandpa Broadhead is such a great grandpa- Zach followed him all over the park. Grandpa helped me and followed him too:)
Then we all went down to the river the kids were dying to go to the whole time we were there. It was a perfect day- We gave them little water bottles with eyes on them for dolphins and they had to be Diego and save the dolphins. The kids loved playing in the water! I don't know if their parents did:)

Then they laid on the cement to warm up. It was a fun birthday and I am grateful for the people who came and missed the people who couldn't be there.

Idaho Trip to Snow!

I can't believe it is snowing in Idaho since we are in sunshine! It is fun for the kids to play in the snow and good ole' uncle Ben is such a fun uncle , him and David were building an igloo right outside of the house. Ben is a great uncle to the grandkids and Holly and I and the kids are really grateful for him.
We went to Island Park to the Fisher cabin. My Grandpa Fisher looked so cute I had to take a picture of him. I love him so much. I have so many fun memories at the cabin and it is neat to watch my boys create fun memories now.
David insisted on wearing this big yellow helmet. He would almost fall when he would walk because it was so awkwardly big.
Zach loves to be pulled on anything- so he was in heaven having David pull him around.
Rod, Ben, David, and I made our snow family- Ben started making him to be in our family too.
Once again, Uncle Ben was being a fun Uncle and was digging a tunnel for them to get into.
Zach refused to wear gloves or mittens he would ditch them before I knew it. My mom is cold when it is 110 degrees so she was extra worried about Zach and his hands. I finally put some of Rod's socks on his hands and then his coat so he couldn't take them off. We had a blast at the cabin. You couldn't have asked for a more perfect day to snowmobile and play in the snow.
